Following on from our recent ground breaking truffle harvest in Monmouthshire, Wales, (See full article here) we have been busy being interviewed by the press and media this week.
Last week Dr Thomas was interviewed on BBC Radio Wales around the historic truffle find and a bit of the background to truffle farming and you can listen again here at BBC Radio Wales - the 5 minute segment on truffles begins at 1:53:50.
Today we will be featured on ITV News. This segment will visit the truffle plantation in Wales and take a look at the truffle trees that are thriving in the Welsh soil – we even get a glimpse of Truff, the trained truffle dog hunting amongst the truffle trees. The feature looks at how important it is for chefs to use local produce especially as UK truffles are of such high quality and how truffles are great for crop diversification for farmers and landowners as the industry is all set to thrive with exports being worth millions to the UK economy.
