This month has seen the start of our new research project with Kew Gardens. Kew Gardens is an internationally important botanical research and
education institution with around 700 staff and the world’s largest collection of living plants. Kew’s
herbarium, which is the largest in the world, has over 7 million preserved plant specimens and the institution is celebrating its 250th anniversary throughout 2009. We’ve given a researcher at Kew, access to several of our key sites and together we’re gathering data and extending our knowledge of what makes a truffle plantation truly productive in
a short time frame. All our truffle cultivation partners directly benefit from this research, which is kept in-house to help develop our sites. If you’d like to know if your site is suitable or are interested in growing truffles, no matter where in the world
you are based, please email/call and we’ll get the ball rolling for you.
