Firewood Fair on 2nd September
The Lincolnshire Firewood Fair is an event that was started in 2009, organised by the Forestry Commission and people from within the private sector to encourage people to burn firewood produced sustainably from local woodlands. The fair also aims to provide the public with information about seasoning and types of firewood as well as having a variety of wood burning stoves and other equipment on show.
The idea is a one-stop shop for all things fire-related.
The event also aims to demonstrate firewood production equipment and forestry machinery available to woodland owners as well as showcasing local businesses that provide various woodland management services, including other ways to add value to woodlands.
This year Mycorrhizal Systems exhibited at the fair with plenty of information about truffle cultivation, and even a few trees for sale. The event was free for visitors at Revesby Estate, Lincolnshire, and we would like to say a big thank you for all those who visited us there.
