The Napa Truffle Festival is quickly establishing itself as one of the world’s biggest truffle events, being held every year in the Westin Verasa in downtown Napa, California.
This season the festival will be held from the 18th – 22nd January 2013. Don’t miss the fun and the science of truffle cultivation, preparation and degustation, including the popular winery lunches – this year hosted by Beringer and Silver Oak – cooking demos, the lively Festival Marketplace featuring local wines and artisanal foods, and the grand Truffles & Wine Dinner at La Toque prepared by Michelin Star chefs (see 2012′s seven-course menu). Plus, keynote by internationally renowned food writer/editor Colman Andrews, cultivation science/business programs with Robert Chang and Dr. Paul Thomas, and a truffle orchard tour with Rico the wonder truffle dog on hand to sniff things out. Also, new this year: a wild mushroom forage excursion with truffle/edible mushroom expert David Campbell.
