A highly prized edible species that has performed very well in our trials. Note, before consuming any mushroom please consult an expert for identification and consult a range of field guides- even trees inoculated with one species may eventually produce different and unintended species under field conditions. This is a mycorrhizal fungus that lives in symbiosis with the plant host, and is tolerant of a range of soil and climates, although there may be a preference for sandier and non-acidic soils.
