This month we were contacted by the world renowned programme Marsterchef, they were looking for some indigenous Irish truffles to be used on the Irish version of the TV series. We supplied them with native British summer truffles (Tuber aestivum/unicatum) and they didn’t disappoint.

Summer truffles are native to the UK and Ireland and can be found in the wild across most of Europe. They have a broad tolerance of temperature and rainfall levels, which makes them a good cultivation option. If you have some land and would like to cultivate these ‘black diamonds’ please get in touch, for a free soil and climate report.
